As beatboxers (vocal percussionists), Marko and Ed have made up two parts of the band Duke for around 8 years. Gigging internationally and alongside huge acts such as Jessie J, Example and the late Amy Winehouse, and at the request of stars such as Prince, Jenson Button and Wayne and Colleen Rooney, they have made quite a name for themselves, performing to crowds of up to 10,000.
Recently, Marko and Ed have launched a new concept… an interactive workshop that demonstrates and teaches the skills of the human beatbox in an engaging and entertaining style; ideal as a conference energiser or uplifting break-out session.
A 20-30 minute session will promote great team work and break down barriers – it could also be a fun and effective way to reinforce key messages through lyrics and song choice. Beginning with a showstopping demo, Marko and Ed will lead your team through breathing and vocal control warm up exercises; teaching the basics of beatbox. Your group will be split into teams to perform the different elements of a tune before star performers are invited to stage to compete in the ultimate beatbox battle, where the winner walks away with the golden mic...
