Formed in 1989 VIRAMUNDO are Europe`s longest established Brazilian/Latin band Led by British born guitarist/singer PAUL RUMBOL
Gathered together a glittering array of top International performers in the last 25 years or so. Now featuring some of the most talented Brazilian artists in Europe, XAVIER OSMIR (percussion/vocals), ELISANGELA MAHOGANY (vocals) REBECA VALLIM (vocals) MARIUS RODRIGUES (drums) FABIO DE OLIVEIRA (drums) MATHEUS NOVA (bass) & MARCELO ANDRADE (sax & flute) The band have recorded 3 CD's Pra Dancar, Tribal & Real Sounds of Brazil on their own label & Paul Rumbol used all the members of the band to release his solo CD in 2013 "Reflections". Voted best musical band in The Brazilian Press Awards 2013 & 2011 saw the band presented with the prestigious Wom@tt Best of British award for pioneering achievements in the United Kingdom presenting African, Caribbean & Latin music & culture.
Viramundo have appeared in & recorded many TV broadcasts over the years & have extensive experience playing festivals, functions & clubs, University Balls & all the top hotels in the the UK and have also performed in France, Italy, Germany, Algeria, Armenia, Sweden, Denmark & Singapore. Recent engagements include the Bahrain Formula 1 event 2012 & entertainment for the Brazilian national football teams games.
